Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu Game Reserve
Pick up from the airport or your hotel at 0730hrs upon arrival by our driver/guide have a safari briefing session and drive north through to the northern frontier district, lunch is served en route arriving Samburu National Reserve in good time.
Enjoy afternoon game drive in this game reserve most famous for its exclusive game viewing. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.
Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
Full day spent exploring Samburu Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. All Meals and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.
A wide variety of animals and bird life are seen at Samburu Game Reserve. Several species are considered unique to the region, including its unique dry-country animal life: All three big cats,
lions, cheetahs and leopards, can be found here, as well as elephants, buffalos. Uaso Nyiro river contains large numbers of Nile crocodiles. Other mammals frequently seen in the park include
gerenuks, Grant gazelles, Kirk dik-diks, impalas, waterbucks, Grevy zebras, Beisa oryx and reticulated giraffes.
Over 400 species of bird are seen in this game reserve. These include Somali ostrich, grey-headed kingfishers, sunbirds, bee-eaters, marabou storks, tawny eagles, bateleurs, vulturine guineafowls, lilac-breasted rollers, palm
nut vulture, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird, Verreaux eagles, superb starlings, yellow-billed hornbills and vultures.
Day 3: Samburu Game Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru viewing game enroute. Arrival will be in good time for lunch at your hotel followed by afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is often referred to as the pink lake due to its enormous numbers of Flamingos. Dinner and Overnight at a Hotel.
Lake Nakuru is anchored on its flamingoes and over 400 species of birds are found here. During the peak season millions of flamingos congregate on the lake plus half a million pelicans. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink due to the swathes of pinky like ribbon adorning the lake fringes.
Lake Nakuru National Park is an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffes and the black and white rhinos. Lions, waterbucks, buffalos and baboons reside here.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara National Park- the land of vast migrating animals. Arrival will be in good time for lunch followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.
Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning breakfast followed by exploring the Masai Mara with full game drives in the morning, mid-morning and afternoon.
All Meals and Overnight at a Tented Campsite.
Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the best known and most popular reserves in Africa. Wildebeest migration could be seen with roughly thousands of animals, at other times there are still hundreds. The plains are full of wildebeest, zebras, impalas, topis, giraffes, Thomson gazelles. Also
regularly seen are leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetah, jackals and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as well as very large Nile crocodiles, who lay
in the river waiting for an opportunity to strike weak prey when wildebeest crosses on their annual quest to find new pastures.
Over 450 species of birdlife have been identified in the park .
Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Early morning breakfast, check out of the camp and depart as you exit Masai Mara. Lunch will be served en-route and drive to Amboseli National Park, to arrive in good time viewing game en-route followed by late afternoon game drives. Dinner and Overnight stay at a Tented Campsite.
Day 7: Amboseli National Park
Full day spent exploring Amboseli National Park with morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight stay at a Tented campsite.
Amboseli National Park is situated close to Kenya and Tanzania border at the foot of Africa highest mountain 5895m, Mt Kilimanjaro whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view during clear days. The Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because
its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months. It is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants. There are over 900 African elephants in Amboseli as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffes, African lions, monkeys, zebras,
hyenas and antelopes.
Day 8: Amboseli National Park - Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast depart Amboseli National Park viewing game en-route as you exit the park with the last picturesque of Amboseli. We drive into Tanzania via the Namanga border. We pass through Arusha town for lunch and proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drives. Dinner and Overnight at Twiga Campsite.
Lake Manyara National Park takes pride in diversified habitat. It is mirrored by its varied fauna, with some of the more common and visible large mammal species being the buffalos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and wildebeests.
Prominently renowned for its tree-climbing lions, Lake Manyara is also home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. The park is rich with fantastic birdlife, more than 400 species of birds can be seen here.
Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park
Early morning breakfast at around 0700am. After breakfast leave the camp and proceed to Serengeti National Park with packed lunch via Ngorongoro Crater Rim viewing game en-route. Dinner and Overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park
Full day spent in Serengeti National Park exploring morning, mid-morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Serengeti Seronera Campsite.
Serengeti National Park is Tanzania largest and best-known national park, with a massive concentration of migratory animals who move around the park according to the availability of food.
Serengeti National Park is Tanzania oldest and most popular National Park, also a world heritage and one of the best wildlife sanctuary site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder.
Serengeti is famous for its annual migration, this offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa. The Park is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due to the abundance of prey species.
The park also supports many further species, including cheetahs, Thomson and grants gazelles, topis, elands, water bucks, hyenas, baboons, impalas, African wild dogs and giraffes. Over 500 bird species are recorded here.
Day 11: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning game drives in Serengeti National Park, later on return back to the campsite for breakfast. Check out of the camp and drive with packed lunch game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater Rim.
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: You can visit Olduvai Gorge at an extra fee payable direct to the museum. Dinner and Overnight at Ngorongoro Simba Campsite.
Ngorongoro Crater is the world biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence,
but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa largest population of large mammals. The annual wildebeest and zebras migration passes through the Ngorongoro conservation, moving south into the area in December and moving north in June.
This movement changes seasonally with the rains, but the migration will traverse almost the entire plains in search of food. This has a healthy resident population of most species of wildlife, in particular the Ndutu Lake area to the west has strong cheetah and lion populations.
Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park
Early morning breakfast then descend to the Crater Floor with picnic lunch for game drives. Explore the crater and have lunch at the picnic site. Thereafter continue with game viewing while ascending the Crater and drive to Tarangire National Park Campsite for Dinner and Overnight.
Tarangire National Park is a beautiful and special park in Northern Tanzania. It is famous for its high density of elephants exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti. The park displays a diverse number of wildlife namely: Pythons, lions and leopards climb trees lounging in the branches,
African buffalos, lesser and great kudus, cheetahs, fringe-eared Oryx, Maasai giraffes, spotted hyenas, common zebras, white-bearded wildebeests, warthogs, elands, olive baboons, bat-eared fox, impalas, common waterbucks, bushbucks, cokes hartebeests, gerenuks, and bohor reedbucks.
Over 550 bird species have been recorded here, making a sure pleaser for any bird lover. Baobab trees are most common here.
Day 13: Tarangire National Park - Arusha
Early morning breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park for morning game drives. Thereafter have lunch and leave the Park viewing your last game while you drive back to Arusha arriving in the evening. You will be dropped either at your
hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your home bound flight depending on the arrangements where the safari ends.
