Balloon safari Kenya Masai Mara is a 5 days safari experience of lifetime starts Nairobi and also ends Nairobi. Day one starts with meet and greet services by our representative at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel. You will spend this day relaxing in this beatiful Nairobi City. Visitors accommodaion is booked on Bed and Breakfast basis.
Following morning, meet and greet services by our representative at your hotel, transfer to the nearby Wilson Airport to connect your scheduled one hour domestic morning flight to Masai Mara. Upon arrival at the Airstrip, you will be welcomed and ushered in a customized pop up 4 X 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Transfer while game viewing en-route to your Lodge/Camp.
During your 4 days stay in Masai Mara, you will experience dawn/dusk game viewing drives, one hour Balloon safari flight and also visit to Maasai village to learn their culture and lifestyle.

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi, Kenya
Meet and greet services upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our driver-guide and transfer you to your Nairobi Hotel booked on Bed and Breakfast basis. Spend the rest of your day relaxing or venture into downtown Nairobi for some shopping. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Day 2: Nairobi flight to Masai Mara, Kenya
Meet and greet services in the morning at your Nairobi hotel by our driver-guide and transfer you to Wilson Airport, where you will board your scheduled flight to Masai Mara National Reserve.
Flight takes about 45 minutes to Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by the driver guide from the lodge or camp and transfer you in a 4WD land cruiser while viewing game en-route to your Lodge/Camp for lunch where you will be assisted with the check in formalities.
You will have free time to relax and have lunch. Thereafter explore afternoon game drive to this game reserve until sunset.

Day 3: Balloon safari and Maasai village visit - Masai Mara
Your one hour balloon safari adventure begins early in the morning so you can see the day unfold over Masai Mara. You’ll be transferred in a custom safari jeep from your lodge/camp between 4:30am to 5.00am. Arrive at the Balloon launch site by 6.00am. Depending on weather conditions, you can enjoy a cup of coffee/ tea while you watch the balloon being prepared for take-off. You will then meet your Pilot, who will give you a safety briefing as well as explain what you can expect during your flight. There are basic toilet facilities available at the launch site. NB: One launch site has toilet facilities.
The scene here is exciting as you are enjoying cup of tea, Balloon Crew starts firing jets of Hot Air into the Balloon to give it lift while it billows out. The Crew attaches the large basket that will be your best viewing platform. You are soon helped by crew into the basket and around 6:30 am for take-off just before sunrise. With a quick flash from the burner above, you feel the basket lift from the ground and you’re suddenly and gently airborne.
Experience amazing views of giraffe, zebra, gazelle, wildebeest, and hippo below as worlds of birds, rivers, savannahs and forest fill your horizon while floating above the Masai Mara. The great display of the Masai Mara unfolds as you sail on the prevailing currents over this ancient land for an adventurous one hour before settling back to the ground, your head now filled with a lifetime of memories.
Your Champagne full bush breakfast awaits you served in Kenyan style at a scenic spot under a lone acacia tree. Waiters in traditional garb bring you fresh juice, eggs made to order, champagne and more while you enjoy this feast.
After breakfast, at around 9.00am, you will have a brief game viewing drive while you are transferred back to your lodge/camp. Depending on what you find along the way, this game viewing drive usually takes about one and a half hours. Arrival at your lodge will be by 10:30/11:30am adding to the many morning memories of your Balloon safari adventure.
Lunch will be served at the lodge/camp. Relax the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, you will be transferred to visit the Maasai village to learn about their culture and lifestyle. A visit to a Masai Manyatta (village) lasts approximately two hours where you gain a rare insight into one of Africa’s best-known traditional cultures. A Maasai village visit opens the door in a unique way of life and set of traditions. Your driver-guide will transfer you to the village where Masai warriors and women ceremoniously receive you as a respected visitor. Having been introduced, a Maasai Host will give you a tour of the Manyatta, explaining the lifestyle and what lies inside one of the huts. Your driver-guide remains with you throughout the experience to help you with communications.
Bring your cash as Maasai women display all sorts of crafts including colorful ethnic beadwork for sale. Ask your guide about protocols of taking photographs. Later you will be transferred back to the lodge/camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 4: Masai Mara, Kenya
Early morning and evening game viewing drive exploring Masai Mara. You will have the opportunity of spotting the BIG FIVE including lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo and other wild animals. Thankfully nowadays most people want to come and shoot the big five with a camera, not a rifle!
Masai Mara National Reserve hosts highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. Masai Mara is one of the best known and most popular reserves in the whole of Africa where wildebeest great migration could be seen. The plains are full of wildebeest, zebra, impala, topi, giraffe, Thomson gazelle and other animals.
Wildebeest travel as early as July from Tanzania Serengeti plains, northwards to the Masai Mara and the Mara River is the final obstacle.
Over 450 species of bird life have been identified in this National Reserve.These birds are prolific and come in every size and color including common but beautiful ones like the lilac breasted roller and plenty of other large species like eagles.

Day 5: Masai Mara flight to Nairobi, Kenya
Early morning game drive on sunrise when predators are active and later return to the luxury lodge or luxury camp for breakfast.
The guide from the lodge will pick you up and transfer you to the airstrip with the last picturesque of the MARA.
Board your scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport Nairobi. Upon arrival at Wilson Airport, our driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect your home bound flight depending on arrangements where the safari ends.
